Atlanta’s park system is getting national recognition—and for good reason. Thanks to increased investment, expanded access to school playgrounds, and continued development of the BeltLine, Atlanta now ranks 21st in the country for urban green space. Just a few years ago, the city was all the way down at 49th. Today, 82% of Atlantans live within a 10-minute walk of a park, and the city is spending nearly twice the national average per resident to maintain and improve its parks. That’s a win for community health, quality of life, and long-term city appeal.
